About the Internet of Things (IoT) Community

It’s well documented the number of connected devices is forecasted to reach 50 billion by 2020. The ability to make smarter, more affordable and agile sensors coupled with easy access to the cloud is a major factor in this explosion. Dubbed the Internet of Things, we can expect to see added value at every electronic turn.

As with any new technology or sector there will be tremendous disruption, as well as opportunity and potential failure. What will separate the winning ideas from the fads that have no longevity, and what are the implications? With more devices connected comes more access to personal data, more regulation, and the need for increased access to network space, to name just a few.
